JEAN-PAUL LANDREAU artist painter and ceramist
Born in the Loire valley, France, artist Jean-Paul Landreau moved to London in 1979 and studied ceramics at Harrow School of Art . Ceramist and painter works close to Niort and La Rochelle in the heart of the Venise Verte in the Marais Poitevin.

Multiples layersof coloured slips ( coloured clays) and sgaffito motifs share influences drawn from artists such as Matisse, Cocteau, Braqueand Miro. In his more abstract figures, the ceramist artist enjoys the interplay of the motif and the form. Each designis intended to " Sing out to the viewers own imagination". In the past , ceramist Jean-Paul Landreau has collaborated with such respected figures as John Piper, Bruce Mc Lean, Philip Sutton and Patrick Caulfield.
